In the competitive world of photography, you will bid on dozens on projects that either don’t come to fruition or are given to a fellow business for one reason or another. While we’d love to think every project we quote becomes ours, it’s simply not possible to win them all! When you do get selected for the job, it feels like fireworks every time! The Studio 13 team takes so much pride in building relationships with clients, taking the time to know their creative needs and vision for their business. Gaining the trust of a first-time client takes patience, understanding and confidence in the partnership you have worked hard to build.

When we are granted the opportunity to work with a new client, the hope is to exceed their expectations and be asked to work together again, either for a similar project or another genre we specialize in. Last year, we had the chance to collaborate with long-time business connection, V3 Companies, an engineering and environmental consulting firm located in the United States and Canada. Our time spent together in 2024 was to capture drone video and imagery for a grand opening project in Brownsburg, Indiana and we were thrilled when the great V3 team asked us to connect again this year to shoot headshots and team collaboration photos.

We worked closely with both the corporate marketing team in Illinois and the on-site staff here in Indianapolis to understand the vision they had and the way these images would be utilized. Highlighting the company culture was at the top of the list of importance, as many of the shots would be used for employee recruitment. Headshots would also be used for online and print marketing, personal branding and other circulations.

We were lucky enough to spend two full days with the V3 team. Not only was it a great chance to get to know so much of the staff, but also offered the opportunity to capture new faces moving about the office. Headshot time was carved out in the morning, shooting in the communal spaces to highlight the individual and the office. The more “candid” lifestyle type photos happened in the afternoon each day. The buy in and engagement from the V3 team was top notch and we couldn’t be happier with the result and the effort all put in to make it so seamless.

Thank you, V3 team, both local and off site. It was a pleasure getting to know you, working in your office and experiencing your dynamic first-hand. What a great group! Until next time!
