As our business has grown we’ve added team members and have been able to increase our reach. Taking on client events and hosting headshot pop-ups at various studios are just a couple of ways we’ve been able to be creative in markets outside of the industry our company was founded on, architectural photography.

It was exhilarating to work with a number of long term clients in our true element as we traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to capture a new stunning logistics building, led by architecture firm Curran Architecture, developer Scannell Properties and contractor Compass Construction. Working with multiple clients at once is such a dream for us and can make a project, especially one that requires travel, extremely cost effective for everyone involved.

For any outdoor shoot, the biggest challenge is often lighting. We can make just about anything happen, but manipulating the weather is unfortunately not on our resume! When there’s an exterior shoot on the calendar, we live for sunny days and love to see the forecast working in our favor.

For this particular project, and most logistical buildings, a challenge we face isn’t just lighting, but the building itself. Having such a long narrow building in the field of view can be difficult to capture in the way you need.  Angle is crucial to getting the shot you envision. We often incorporate landscaping, signage and other outdoor elements to create dimension. We work with showing smaller portions of the buildings to help fill the frame and give the essence of the whole building itself.

Thank you to our three clients who made this project what it is! Working with each of you is a true honor and we can’t wait for the next collaboration.
