When Two Worlds Collide: Pure Barre & Studio 13

When you’re a professional photographer in a mid-size city, a large part of your new business comes from referrals. Other clients, business connections, family members, colleagues, and so on. But what happens when a business that you frequent in your personal life asks to work with you? Something very special is created.

Last summer, Lesle was given the distinct honor to capture headshots and team portraits for Pure Barre Noblesville, the boutique fitness studio she has been a member of since 2021. First approached by the new owner, Gina, Lesle was thrilled to capture the essence and community of her home away from home. The team had not had updated shots since the studio opened in 2019 and Gina wanted images that highlighted each woman’s personality and group shots that conveyed the fun they have together.

The day started in the studio, where Lesle and associate photographer Carrie set up lighting and tested angles. First up were individual shots of over a dozen instructors and team members, capturing both a more professional headshot type angle and then a silly pose. Next up were the “action shots” where everyone was posed as if they were taking a real class. After years of being bossed around in her workouts, she got the chance to boss around the instructors for a change. Lesle had fun with this!

The day ended by heading into downtown Noblesville for some creative outdoor shots. One of Gina’s deepest desires for Pure Barre Noblesville is to set the tone for how you should feel when you walk into a fitness studio-welcome, appreciated and important. It’s also important to her to be involved in the local community so what better way than to shoot right in the heart of this sweet town?

This day was one for the books for Lesle. A day combining two of her passions. A day spent with people who have become staples in her life. Thank you to everyone at Pure Barre Noblesville for the best day!
