Hitting the Mark with M.M. Marketing

May 22nd, 2019/Corporate Portraiture/

Usually when we reference photographers as part time furniture movers, we are talking about architectural jobs—where the furniture in the building needs to be at just the right angle in order to make the shot perfect. Well our hidden talent with furniture has come in handy once again, this time in a corporate portraiture setting. This week’s client spotlight features our work with M.M. Marketing of the wonderful people at Lucid Services Group.

M.M. Marketing Group is a woman-owned marketing consultancy focused on strategic business growth. Founded in 2014, M.M. Marketing specializes in understanding how products and operations impact marketing, and how to apply inspired ideas to planning strategies that work. They are pro-transparency, anti-fluff, and focused on getting their clients results.

And sticking with the women-power theme, Lucid Services Group is also woman-owned! Lucid is a professional services company based out of Indianapolis that provides managed-resource programs and staff augmentation to highly technical industries including information technology, life sciences and engineering. With over 50 years of collective recruiting expertise, Lucid Services group helps customers deliver outcomes – quickly, and painlessly.

Megan Burt with M.M. Marketing contacted us to produce new images for Lucid’s website and future blog posts, focusing on the people that make the company what it is. The job included a total of 10 headshots as well as multiple group photos and candid “collaboration” photographs—showing the team in action. In pre-production, the client decided on a bright, contemporary look. Their offices, located in the Stutz building in downtown Indy offer many vibrant vintage looks, but it was the Lucid offices themselves that we settled on.  With bright white walls and gorgeous commissioned art Megan knew that was the style she was going for.

With an artsy backdrop and a key pieces of furniture, moved into the frame when necessary, we were able to modern the bright look that Lucid wanted. The space also allowed us enough variation to shoot the headshots, team, and collaboration photos in separate areas without them looking identical.

We do have a confession to make: we didn’t move all that furniture by ourselves. Both the Lucid and M.M. Marketing teams were amazing to work with and helped out at every turn. They were flexible with us changing around their space all day long and I think that team spirit shows through in the images!
