When you choose to work with a family owned business, your not just hiring a service, you’re becoming part of a legacy. A legacy built on trust, values, craftsmanship, shared goals and vision. With generations of immense talent and experience passed down and a respected reputation to uphold within their community, family owned businesses are deeply invested in forming relationships with their clients and getting the job done right.
It’s not very often that we get the unique opportunity to work with a fellow third-generation family owned business. Colby Equipment has been in business serving Indiana for nearly 100 years representing manufacturers of industrial and commercial air handling equipment. One of the largest suppliers of HVAC equipment in the Midwest, Colby Equipment has offices and warhouses in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne. They greatly attribute their industry success to their valued sales staff and support personnel and their response and attention to their customers.
The last time we featured Colby Equipment, we were updating their headshots. We were beyond thrilled when they reached out to work together again and asked us to capture their work in the field with installations at St Francis and St. Vincent hospitals.
The Colby team secured a fantastic opportunity in working with these two large companies, other Indiana businesses, to do a large equipment installs within their hospitals. Our job was not to capture the installations themselves, but the project managers in the spaces, almost as if they were reviewing the final product. Colby is great to work with because they love efficiency and organization as much as we do. The Colby team handled all the scheduling, calendar arrangements between construction, installation and move in and communicated with our team on when they were ready for us.
The key to this project was the surgery rooms where we were shooting were still slightly under construction so we had to work around many individuals as they were bringing the rooms together. Our client’s equipment was installed in the ceiling, which made getting the best angles of both people and product quite the challenge. We always love a challenge!
Thank to you to everyone at Colby Equipment for a great project! Looking forward to the next one.
