Rigdon Construction at Thermo Fisher Scientific

In the world of photographing architecture, you never know where the next job may take you. It keep us on our toes and makes every day exciting. Towards the end of Summer 2023, our friends and long term clients at Rigdon Construction asked us to partner once again to shoot interior shots at their newly finished project with Thermo Fisher Scientific in Fishers.

This project presented us with the newly renovated $6 million laboratory facility for the company, who supplies labs and hospitals with scientific instruments, chemical ingredients and software services.  Based in Massachusetts, the local Thermo Fisher lab will provide post-transplant diagnostics to doctors who monitor kidney transplant patients.

Rigdon knocked it out of the park with this renovation! While the building was preexisting, the interior was completely gutted and redesigned by Rigdon to create both a medical grade, safe & sanitary laboratory and also provide conference spaces, break rooms and lounge areas for the current 12 employees (which the company estimates will grow to closer to 40 by 2027).

It’s always a challenge when stepping into spaces like this, as we never know what safety protocols or confidentiality hurdles we may face before we are cleared to shoot. As luck would have it, on this particular day, most employees were working from home and we had full access to the building to take our time and get the best shots possible.
