On the road again! And this time it was to the Windy City of Chicago, to our friends at the V3 offices in Chicago. V3 Companies stands for “Visio, Vertere, Virtute”: “The Vision to Transform with Excellence.” The firm was founded in 1983 by Rob Petroelje. His vision for the entrepreneurial firm was very different to that of other firms. Where every team member has a voice and every client receives long-term value, support, and success shared by all. Rob’s vision has made the firm award-winning in industry leadership, in both culture and project excellence.

V3 provides services in construction, land development, architectural landscapes, as well as planning architectural landscapes. At V3, their core values include, employee ownership, and a healthy work environment where their employees are respected, challenged, and appreciated.

Under their third CEO, Patrick Kennedy, including a long-tenured leadership team, V3’s future is brighter than ever! Their recent strategic plan calls for continued growth through innovation, regional, diversification of clients, and new markets such as renewable energy. Paired with their commitment to building fulfilling careers in a flexible work environment, their team is positioned to transform communities and the world for years to come.

During this project, it was essential for our team to remain nimble, flexible, and versatile. The scope required capturing the CEO’s headshots in both an environmental setting and a studio setting with a standard background, along with 20 team member headshots on a seamless background in the same studio environment. In addition, we photographed collaborative scenes featuring associates throughout their newly renovated office space. This involved working across multiple locations within the office to capture authentic moments, including team members reviewing landscape plans, collaborating in conference rooms, and moving through their daily workflows. We also documented candid interactions, such as employees walking and working throughout the space. Overall, we greatly valued the opportunity to contribute to this project and embraced the challenges it presented.
