The City of Noblesville is becoming a new hot spot due to the continuous growth of the city. And we must say there is no other thrilling place than Innovation Mile! Imagine the excitement we felt to have the chance to capture The Arena at Innovation Mile for not only one, or two, but four different clients! These clients consisted of F.A. Wilhelm Construction, Patch Development, Business Furniture, and CHA Consulting, Inc.
Read the following paragraphs for a description of each organization and the services they offer:
F.A. Wilhelm Construction has over a century’s worth of experience as a legacy Contractor and Construction Management company. Their capabilities allow a diverse range of work including very challenging projects for different clients. They focus on staying honest with their clients and partners without compromise in quality of work all across the country. Wilhelm is also one of the largest employers in construction across the Midwest, specializing in crafting sustainable and impactful spaces that help people to work, live, learn, and thrive in.
Patch Development was founded in 2019 as a premier commercial real estate development firm. They specialize in land development, site selections, built-to-suit projects, and consultations with an avid focus on market analysis. Because they value simplicity and commitment in staying transparent, it has given them the chance to become developers and general partners of over 4 million square feet on properties that are valued at half a billion USD. Combined together their leadership team has 150 years of valuable experience and knowledge, which is brought upon every project allowing them to create long lasting partnerships along the process.

Business Furniture started in 1922 and ever since then has been shaping working environments. With over a century’s worth of experiences in curating workspaces, with a mindset on how they can help people thrive and be comfortable in modernized corporate offices, healthcare environments, and even educational spaces. Business Furniture prides themselves in being an all female owned business, led by Mary Beth Oakes and Suzanne Bentley, they combine their deep industry roots and a natural human-centered approach to design and change management.

CHA Consulting, Inc. has over 70 years of experience as an innovative, full-service engineering, design, consulting, and program/construction management firm providing a wide range of technology-enhanced services to private, public, and institutional clients.
They optimize infrastructure to deliver clean water, safe transportation, and innovative clean energy technologies. CHA is committed to uplifting and inspiring communities by creating spaces and structures that support a better future. Their expertise and precision allow them to take on complex engineering projects and program management in more efficient and sustainable ways.

Working with multiple clients can be complex but adds excitement as well. Big projects such as this involve the necessity to be deeply connected with the clients branding and strategy needs. Perhaps certain aspects work well for the developer and construction company, which may not align with the goals for the engineering firm. Additionally those angles may not work for the organization providing designs and furnishings as well. Therefore open communication is very crucial in the pre-production planning.
For sake of efficiency we made the decision to split interiors and exteriors into multiple days to be able to capture the building in the morning, afternoon, and at sunset. With the south facing windows in the arena proper, we wanted to capture those angles at sunrise so the light through the windows recorded as a deep blue. To help balance the interior and exterior lighting we took shots of the front lobby later in the day. Then we could spend the rest of the day capturing the interior spaces without concern for the lighting coming from the windows.

Overall, we retouched and finalized approximately 70 images meeting all the needs for each organization within this project. We can say without a doubt this was 100% a portfolio worthy project!
